This is my corner for work that has informed and built my current work but is not part of my current body of work.

| This is my earliest artwork- mostly things from high school. I was very into surrealism. It shows my early proficiency with representational work- which I rarely do now. | Throughout college and then early art school I was consumed by ceramics. These are almost random- the pieces that got photographed. In recent years I have avoided ceramics specifically because it consumes everything else. It is incredibly sensual and absorbing. I will allow myself to work in clay again when I've achieved enough in the more conceptual areas- or if a conceptual piece demands it. |
Most of art school was a constant series of experiments in mixed media. I was not trying to create a body of work- I was focusing on pushing boundaries and developing my own techniques. These are a handfull of those projects | Process is extremely important to me. My sketchbook is an essential part of my work, and my work is concerned with process, so I allow some access here. |
